CPS false allegations?

A few months back my best friend got a knock on the door by CPS, it turns out someone accused her of abusing her baby and of drinking and doing drugs in front of him. An investigation was made and everything came out clear and ok. Now I got a letter in the mail by CPS saying, thank you for the report and if I still have concerns over the child to contact them again. So it looks like someone used my name to accuse her. My question is, can I do something about this? is their a way to open and investigation for identify theft because this is something serious. We both are pretty sure who it is but we want to know if there is anyway to prove it and press charges.
