Does he really like me? or is he just kinda desperate?

okay so theres this boy, and we both kinda like each other. this past weekend we all hung out and he and i were insperable, as in we were just cuddling non stop anddd now he wants a relationship but i wanna wait. we have been friends for about three months, but i still want to wait just because i have a lot going on. andd well before me he liked these two other girls, but when they both didnt show interest in him he just movedd on, and with me, i feel like im just "another girl". except his bff, who is good friends with me, tells me that he ALWAYS talks about me, and i make him soooo happy and he really likes me. and when i brought up the other girls, he said they were just "interests". and we get along reallyyy well, like we joke around and we have sooo many inside jokes, and we just connect. so i was just wondering...is he being sincere or is it just an act of desperation??
