I installed SLIM on my Ubuntu laptop. When I restarted, my laptop froze on the part where it says Ubuntu and there's five dots... I think it's new in Maverick. Anyway, when I press escape it shows a screen with some kind of script running that seems to get hung up on "Starting X display manager: slim." So, basically I need to uninstall SLIM even though I can't log in. I can't get to recovery mode because as far as I can tell I have no bootloader. It goes straight from the default Toshiba BIOS screen to the Ubuntu/five dots screen. Help?
