Making craft with clear ornament and glitter. Whats the best kind of glue to use so it will dry clear?

I tried all kinds of glue, but i am doing this craft with my 6 year old as a gift for her aunt, and i dont want to ruin it. I tried some out on an extra set i bought luckilly, and the glue dries white and you cant see the glitter like i expected..
