Would this be retarded?

Okay, so the past 4 or 5 years I always wore clothing from Hollister, Aeropostale, and American Eagle. Now I am going into 10th grade and I want to change my style a little bit. I mean the past few months that I have gone into Aeropostale I couldn't find anything at all , it's like their clothes are changing. Now I did happen to find only two shirts at Hollister. But I walked into Pac Sun and I just saw a whole bunch of things that I just loved. Like the brands were all Vol, DC shoes, Element, Roxy, Fox, etc. Most of those are Skater brands. I also found those super skinny straight legged jeans that I also really liked. Now I don't skateboard at all, I just can't.lol. So do you think that it would be retarded if I changed my style a little bit to Skater rather than Preppy?
